    2. Good morning, Will. First, in response to your question, re Leonardo Andrea. Leonardo Andrea, born 1899, died 1966, was a teather, historian, and very well known genealogist, living and working in South Carolina. His work in genealogy was very extensive, and was not restricted to any particular surname. His accumulation was vast, and covered many surnames of people living in South Carolina, and followed them westward and into the middlewest. His correspondance was also extensive, and he did professional genealogy work for years. His work was given to the Carolinianna Library located at Columbia, part of the University of South Carolina. These are open to the public. Apparently they reproduced the records on microfilm, as the Library at Spartanburg, SC, has copies. I was able to print out the file on the SCOTTs of the area. I must say, these Scotts must have a family trait, reticence, as it is difficult tying the families together. There was a immigration of SCOTTs and associated families into SC circa 1767. Most of these settled in the coastal areas, slowly migrating into the midlands and upper SC as the Native Americans retreated into the mountain and westward. These SCOTTs were in Georgia very early also, having come down from Virginia and North Carolina. Some even came here from Maryland and Pennsylvania. Yes, I can handle attachments from JUNO. If fact, I prefer information this way, as some of the gedcom files, especially those of family tree, do not convert easily. Also, I understand that [email protected] does not accept attachments. As for the listing of Scotts in the War of 1812, I will log onto that site. I have also copied all Scotts listed in the "Abstracts of the Revolutionary War, by White. There is a lot of information there. Best regards, and good luck. Fred E. Crump, Sr
