I am seeking information on my ggg-grandfather, James H. Scott. He was born in South Carolina in about 1787. The 1830 census showed him in Abbeville District. He was married to a woman named Isabella, last name possibly White. Around 1848 they moved to western Alabama with their sons John J., James A., Thomas L., William A., Harvey W., Benjamin Y. and Samuel M. Scott (my gg-grandfather); also a little girl named Rachel Scott. Any information about James or his ancestors would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Will Scott
