Searching for the PARENTS of Mary A. Scott, born March 2, 1797 in GA. Mary married Hays Rodgers on Dec. 11, 1816 in Clarke Co, AL. Their 13 children were born in Clarke Co, AL; Copiah Co, MS; Simpson Co, MS; & Lauderdale Co, MS. Hays and Mary were early settlers of Pine Springs, Lauderdale Co, MS in about 1832. Mary died about 1863 in Pine Springs. The year that Mary married in Clarke Co, AL, there were 4 BENJAMIN Scotts listed on the 1816 Clarke Co, AL territorial census, but I've not been able to connect Mary to any of these.
