My James W. Scott (finally learned his name!!) was married to Mourning C. Currey. When he died, their orphaned William Oliver Scott lived with an Aunt Nancy Rachel Currey Willard and her husband Dustin Willard. This all took place in Amite, MS. My information is that James W. and Mourning were married July 8, 1841 in Amite Co., Miss. They died before Sept 21 1860 - William Oliver was listed as an orphan and living with the Willards at that time. Family history says James W. Scott was working on a Mississippi Riverboat on the Mississippi River when a timber he was loading onto the boat fell on him and killed him. Also, William Oliver was supposed to have a brother, John.
