William Scott, B: May 1742 Townsend MA was a Major in the Rev. War and of military fame. He lived in Peterborough, NH. and at the time of his death he was in Litchfield, NY, 1796. A daughter and her husband lived there, Polly and Ebenezer Ramsey. I have his parents as Alexander Scott and Margaret Robbe Scott. William was married to Phoebe Woods. Another source is saying that the parents of William are John Scott and Mary Chamberlain Scott of Groton, MA. Can anyone help?
