Hello, I am new to this so bear with me. Was wondering if anyone has done any research on the SCOTT family in Union County, N.J. Henry C. Scott was born in Derby or Derbyline in Vermont in 1824. At some point he moved to New Jersey. I am trying to find out who his parents where. So far I have had no luck as I can not find a birth record for him. The research that I have done gives Vermont as his birth place but parents were listed as deceased on his marriage records and unknown on his military papers. Henry C. Scott served the State of N.J. during the Civil War. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside N.J. Henry C. Scott married Mary J. Milligan in 1864 Children were; John W. Scott George H.
