Glad to hear from you. I am a Scott descendant, but relatively inexperienced, so bear with me. My oldest Scott is Lemuel, born about 1804, South Carolina, but his parents are uncertain as yet. I first found him on the 1830 census, Anderson county, SC, age 20-30, with wife, age 20-30, and two children, 1m 0-5; 1f 0-5. On the same page, same census, I found these: John Scott, age 80-90, wife age 70-80; three "other" females. Thomas Scott, age 50-60, wife age 40-50; 1m 0-5; one other female. David Scott, age 30-40; no obvious wife, but with two females in HH. In doing other research, I found Lemuel and wife, Mary A. (McDaniel) Scott in Elbert county, ga in 1840, then in 1850 census, Franklin co, Ga. They remained there, which became Hart County, Ga, in 1853, and died 1881.
