Just a short update on my genealogy. I found Thomas A.Scott (son of Francis Scott & Elizabeth Axtell )with wife "EMILY" in 1880 Zaleski,Vinton Co., Ohio with children *** IRA ***, Elizabeth, Marietta,William T., and Virgil. All the dates match up. Past records showed Thomas married to Phoebe Drake. I have figured something happened to Phoebe because there was another Thomas A. Scott in Athens married to an Emily Clutter in 1865 which is about 10 years after he'd married Phoebe. IRA would still be the child of Thomas and Phoebe but the rest are Thomas and Emily. I just wrote to San Juan county Historica Society in Colorado again. I just found a previous bit of correspondence that I'd had with them last year and stowed away. They have a couple of 1908 pictures of Ira and his wife Mary so I sent them $10. and requested copies of them.
