List, looking for my gggg-grandma. The story starts out in, New Hanover Co., NC. Clara SCOTT was born to Isaac and Mary SCOTT in 1815. She married John Beasley ROUSE in 1834, New Hanover Co., NC. She and John raised the family at "Long Creek Township." John and Clara paid taxes in 1846 on 400 acre's. In 1847 John and Clara evidently sold the property and moved to McCracken Co., Ky. Clara died in 1853 of pneumonia, she and John had seven children at that time. John, remarried and the family went on. We have the family after that but the wall starts in New Hanover Co., NC. Isaac SCOTT is shown in the register of the war of 1812, in Duplin Co., NC along with a Benjamin and David I think. He is listed as well in the Will of Dr. Loomis of that area as well.
