I'm new to the list and I'm hoping that someone can unravel a mystery for me. Thomas SCOTT and Charles C. DALE signed the marriage bond for Charles DALE's marriage to Susan HARRIS in Wilson County, Tennessee, in 1838. Can anyone tell me who Thomas SCOTT is, and what his relation is to Charles DALE and/or Susan HARRIS? I have no information on either Charles or Susan's families at this point. I will be grateful for any help at all. I just got a copy of the marriage bond today and I'm completely puzzled. Maybe someone can shed a little light on my new mystery!
