Her parents were (to the best of my knowledge) Franklin Martin Scott born 1823 and Elizabeth Jane Carpenter. There were two brothers, Alva Roy Scott born 04.20.1862 and George Washington Scott born 01.10.1853. Given the big differences in the dates of birth there very well may be other siblings in between that I’m not aware of. According to reliable sources, Nellie is listed as a daughter in the household of Martin Scott in the 1900 census; Crawford Co., Jennings Twshp., household 94. Franklin Martin’s parents were Henry Harrison Scott and Mary Elizabeth Clendenning. Their children were: Franklin; Henry born 1854; Milton born 1855; Sarah born 1858; and Oliver born 1859. If anyone can provide me with information either on additional siblings and other family members both further back and/or more recent I’d be greatly appreciative.
