Hi, I'm looking for help on the line of Scott's who moved from Virginia (now part of WV) to Mansfield, OH then to Crawford County, IN. My Great Grandmother was Myrtle Scott b. 1889 in Crawford County, IN. Her parents were Willie Whitfield Scott and Alice Wiseman (m. 1886 in Crawford Co., IN). Those connections I'm fairly certain of... I'm looking for help from anyone who has knowledge of documentating a connection between Willie Whitfield Scott (b. ca. 1867) and his parents... I've found a gedcom in the IGI that shows Willie to be the son of Walter Scott (b. ca. 1824 in Ohio?) and Nancy Jane Tower, but don't know where to go for the documentation of that connection... the same is true of information showing Walter Scott as the son of Ira Scott. Any help from someone with knowledge of specific documentation of these connections (i.e. census, marriage, birth, death, probate, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. I'd also LOVE to hear from any other Scott family members from the Crawford County, Indiana lines.
