I am trying to get some information on Walter Scott, born 1768 in Yarrow, Selkirk Co., Scotland. He married Mary Anderson, also born 1768, place unknown, on 15 May, 1793 in Yarrow. They emigrated to a small town later called Scottsville, near Lambeth, Ontario, Canada in 1735, I believe. They were accompanied by their son Mungo, and his wife Margaret, and their children, Walter died 6 Dec. 1851 and Mary died 8 March 1860. They left 2 daughters, Isabel and Helen, in Scotland. Mungo and his wife Margaret had 6 sons: John (my great-grandfather), Walter, Charles, James, William, and Hobbkirk. Most are buried in the family cemetery at Scottsville. Scottsville is no longer a place name on the map Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
