Looking for Scotish records on William Alexander SCOTT. Info I have says he came from Glasgow and calculate he was born around 1760 to 1775 He came to US prior to American Revolution, then served on Bonhomme Richard under Capt. John Paul Jones. Moved to N. Carolina, then about 1820 moved to Madison Co. Alabama where he settled and died. He had 5 Sons, all US born: Wm. Alexander SCOTT Jr.; Henry J. SCOTT; John T. SCOTT; Robert T. SCOTT; and Thomas W. SCOTT.
