Just started on Thomas SCOTT, iron forger, born c1820, married Jane EWING c1840, died before 1865. Their daughter, Margaret SCOTT, my grandmother, born 1845, married William EADIE. Thomas may have had a link with Melrose and the Borders. Jane probably came from Muthill. Thomas seems to be a fairly unusual first name for an 1800s Scott.
