Looking for information on John Osborne born about 1859 in Scotland and emigrated to Nova Scotia where he married Emily Horne and appears on the 1881 census for Eastern Passage with his wife and one daughterEmily Shirley.

I have just found the maiden name of an ancestor, Ann Jane VALENTINE born Ireland. She is married to: William John FERGUSON or John William FERGUSON born Scotland. A daughter was born to them in Ontario, March of 1839... My question....What records are available for that area in 1838-57, i.e. census, R. C. churches, (maybe not,although daughter herself seems to have been a life-long catholic& lived all life in Wellington County).....Does the 1841 or 1852 census give wife's name, children's ages?
