Your not the only one! The McAlpine's weren't any better with info. I've been looking for Andrew McAlpine (1775) for years, (the minister) from Sarnia, and another Andrew (1827-1915)his son, I think another minister. They hide well don't they? ----- Original Message ----- From: <SuprGramps@aol.com> To: <SCOTS-IN-CANADA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 01, 2004 4:20 AM Subject: Re: [SCTCDN] No mail > Macolm,It appears that we Scots are a very secretive bunch. I will send something to the list... I am looking for anything on the MCMARTINS that went to Bay Of Chaleurs, NB, Laborador and into Prescott county about 1800. Some of the names are LISCOM, ROBERTSON, MCEWEN. Most important is John McMartin who married Elizabeth MCEWEN In 1821. Thanks.... Laura McMartin-Ruhle
