Is it McLaren/MacLaren? If so my gt. gd. mother was m. to a McLaren in Scotland & they had a son Duncan b. Dec/12/1842 near Loch Tay & d.Sept./17/1936.On the ship coming to Canada, Mr. McLaren died & was buried @ sea. She married my Gt. Gd. father Donald McVichie & had more children. Duncan never married, but did work (book keeping) in Minnesota. for a number of years. He died in Glengarry, Ontario Canada.
