Hello Randy, My gggrandfather was also a Robert Elliot and another member of ScotsinCanda group also has a Robert Elliot in her family tree. Both of our ancestors came from Hawick, Roxburghshire but not related to each other. There were several more by that name which was not ours. Worth a try.
