    3. Hi Carol: I live in Courtenay, BC, about seven minutes drive from Cumberland BC on Vancouver Island. I just checked the local phone book and there are ninety four McDonalds listed. One or more of them may be related to you, but talk about a labour of hercules to find out which.. When I get a bit more time I'll check out one of the local histories, but don't get your hopes up. Cumberland was primarily a mining town in the 1850's, with the rest of the Comox Valley being fishing, logging, and farming.
