Hi, I am a newbie on here and have been lurking for the past couple of days. I now have my courage built up so here goes ..... I have a James Hunter born ?, 1810 in Scotland, died Lucknow, ON, Feb. 25, 1871. His wife, Maria Wilson was born ?, ?, Scotland (I found an entry for abt. 1818, Coatdyke, Lanark, Scotland), but no other details. There seem to be alot of Marys but not many Marias. They came to Canada between 1848 and 1850 and settled in Ontario. Their children James, Andrew and Mary (born St. Quivox and Kilwinning, Scotland) were followed by Robert, Annnie, John, Elizabeth, James Warnock, and Jacob Steel, all born in Ontario. (born from 1850 - 1863) I seem to have a little background on each of the children (from an old family bible in Lucknow) except for Andrew. He was born Oct. 21, 1845 in Kilwinning, Scotland, came over with his parents & vanished? Cannot find him on any census or bmd so far. Do any of these names ring a bell with anyone? Any suggestions on where to find more info on James, Maria or Andrew? Thanks in advance. Judy (in cold and snowing Saskatchewan!)
