Hello, I am new to this list and wondering if anyone else is researching the name Ballantyne in Montreal. My GGGrandfather John Ballantyne and his wife Hannah lived there in the 1870's, coming from Glasgow. They had a daughter, Jennette, born in Montreal, 1872. Hannah died in 1875, buried in Mount Royal Cemetery and I am trying to find John. Jennette died in Ohio in 1921. John was a member of St. Clair Masonic Lodge in Dennistoun,Glasgow, Scotland.
