I have ordered marriage certificates from Scots Origins, and they contain a wealth of information, on all I have ordered they have recorded the names of the parents, with the maiden surnames of the women as well. Also gives place of marriage, the age at marriage, occupation, and they give the names of witnesses to marriage, and the names of clergy performing marriage. I have always felt they are a worthwhile purchase, in going back a generation. One thing one has to keep in mind is the fact that Civil Registration was not kept until 1856, but I have purchased two documents prior to 1856 and all the pertinent info was there.
