    3. Hi David Do you have any idea where Point Fortune is and what L.C. stands for? I was wondering if you had any thing on the Behans? I was told that James Behan landed in Pennsylvania in 1842 as a small child. His parents were Michael and Margerate Behan. I was wondering if they remained there or moved to Canada right away. 3. Hi Sheila, Pointe-Fortune is in Quebec. Lower Canada (L. C.) was the old name for Quebec. Here is a site that will give you a good idea where it is. http://geonames.nrcan.gc.ca/search/search_e.php I checked the 1850 U. S. census on Ancestry.com for Michael Behan in New York, and I found one possibility. James' age is off by quite a bit, though, and Margaret was born in the States, so they probably aren't yours. 1850, New York State, Chemung County, Elmira, Page 192.
