Hi Robina, Most city directories I've seen are divided into several sections which allow you to determine either the address of an individual (males and widows), or the resident at a given address. The latter list will often provide the individual's occupation or the name of the company he works for or both. Another section of the directory was a sort of pre-telephone "yellow pages" Cheers!
