It's been a while since I last posted my request. Am hoping someone can help me break through my brick wall. Ggrandfather Gedeon Robichaud/x/t (Americanized version was Rabshaw) married Catherine Cameron July 2, 1849, in Buckingham, Quebec. They were married by Father Brady. During research, I've discovered during that time frame, Father Brady was at St. Gregory of Naziance Roman Catholic Mission. A couple of kind souls have looked in those church records and came up empty-handed in finding the marriage record. I REALLY need both sets of parents' names. Would it be possible for someone to access the public/civil records to see if there is anything recorded since Buckingham is right over the river from where Catherine was born (Glengarry c. 1830)? Gedeon was born in Lachine c. 1821. Maybe they didn't get married in that church. Would that happen because the bride might not have been Catholic? Many thanks in advance for any assistance.
