    3. Jane There are only 3 Allison Robertson's listed in Canada for the 1881 census..... do you have any other info on her? Other people that may be with her, Province or County where she would be, etc..... I could look for someone else in the home or Robertson all together in a certain area. Let me know. The birth years for the 3 Allison's are 1842, 1855 and 1871. I'm sending the info on the older of the 3 women but this one living with a Bailey family. 3. Scots Origins is the "official government source of genealogical data for Scotland". The Old Parish Records starting in the late 1700's (depending on the parish) have been transcribed, and are on line in a searchable data base. Knowing only the approximate date of birth of my gggrandfather, and that he was born somewhere in Scotland, I was able to find the record of his birth in about an hour. That was my first try at the site. I got better as I did more research. That was also with a dial up modem. 1. [SCTCDN] new to list, THOM(P)SON early Quebec
    2. I am looking for anything on William THOMSON, a commissary officer with the force occupying Quebec in the late 18th century. He married Heriot Cunningham TANNATT (where?) around 1775, and they had at least three children born in Quebec: Mary Hume Thomson, who married Bishop George Jehoshaphat Mountain of Quebec in 1814 Tannatt Houstoun Hume Thomson, who married Margaret Ann Ussher in Niagara in 1817 Heriot Frances Thomson who married General Gustavus Nicholls of the British Army in Quebec I would love to know if William Thomson was a British officer, local-born or a US Loyalist, any of his dates, and particularly the birthdates of his children in Quebec. All the spellings vary wildly. Heriot Cunningham was (obviously) of Scottish descent, but born in Georgia; her sisters married into the equally Scottish Houstoun and Hume families. Many thanks, Estelle Wolfers, Ipswich UK

Family legend has it that there was lots of crossings between Ontario and Michigan in the 1880s.....so...that is the reason for the request. Hope you can help me solve this long standing family mystery.... Thanks for any information you may provide. Kathryn
