Hello Listers, My family has been told the surname PETTEE is a form of PETTER which would be French. We have also been told that PETTEE is an Irish surname as well as a Scottish surname. Can anyone hear shed any light on this surname being Scottish? If it is, does anyone know which part of Scotland it would have originated in?
