My great grandmother was Margaret Foulkes, nee Lumsden, born in Scotland in 1831. She married William Foulkes, date not known, but the first child Alice was born in Aldershot in 1860. William was in the Royal Dragoon Guards, and served in the Crimean War. On the 1881 census, William, Margaret and their six children were living in Leeds and William was a "Groom". William died at the same address in 1908. Any information on the Lumsden family would be appreciated. Maureen.
