I am looking for Alvin Tracy Hay and family in San Francisco: wifes maiden name is Helen Furst, Alvin Tracy Hay had 3 children - Ernest, John and Dorothea. Alvin Tracy Hay was the first white baby boy born in Tracy, CA. He headed off to Alaska for the Gold Rush, and lived most of his life in Nome and Cordova. He was also responsible for laying out the power & water system for the city of Cordova, AK. The city gave him a watch when he retired. He lived there with his wife Helen Furst Hay,(she is my gg-grandmother and we always called her Nonie), and 3 children, John, Dorthea Mathilda and Ernest. Dorthea had a son John Tracy (Burningham)Peters,(my father).Dorothea later married Robert Herb Hanson. Mr.Hanson worked as the director for the FAA Aviation on the Alution (sp?) Islands. Dorthea Mathilda Hanson died in Alaska in about 1961 or 1962. She is buried somewhere in San Francisco. There should be a family plot. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
