I have been passed the following info from Adelaide Australia reference a request about George GOW. The 1881 census quoted was as follows:- Census Place; Alloa, Clackmannan Source FHL Film 0203534 GRO Ref Volume 465 Enum Dist 2 Page 9. Dwelling, Grange Place. George GOW M 42 m Tybster, Caithness, Head, Occ Manufacturer Barbara GOW F 37 Wife. Followed by children. NO PLACE OF BIRTH QUOTED!! Barbara may well have been a CRAWFORD and P o B important. Presume all children born in Alloa. Could not find marriage on IGI p.8695 (Aug 1978..is there a later edition?) Can anyone help please. Hedley
