I'm new to Scottish Geneology although I have sucessfully traced ancestors in other European countries to the 1600. I have a relative by the name of Anne Hamilton from Scotland who married a Norwegian sailor by the name of Ole Hansen. I have records of her children and of her husband but cannot locate Anne. Anne's daughter was born in 1868 - meaning Anne would have been born in 1840's. Can anyone be of assistance? Even general guidance would be helpful! Thanks! Lisa Tampa, Florida
