Having the surname Glasgow makes it difficult to search with the City Glasgow appearing so often in the records, but---. John Glasgow, born about 1755-1760. In Huntingdon Co., PA, USA by late 1780s. Wife was Margaret Taylor, or Hunter, or Watts. I believe it to have been Taylor. Children were Richard, John, Hannah, Jane, Matthew, William, Samuel & Taylor Different stories say (1)John was a deserter from the British army in the Colonies dur=ing the Revolution. (2)Another says he and his family came over during the Revolution. Another says he came up to Pennsylvania from one of the US Southern States during the war.
