I am seeking information on Jessie Fraser and James Law. James was a draper, possibly in New York. He and Jessie had a daughter Mary Ann who was married 18.07.1871 at New Jersey to Alexander Bell a seaman from Largo in Fife (Scotland). Fraser and Bell are Scottish names, so presumably the family came orginally from Scotland and found themselves, around the early part of the 19th centry in New York, somehow. Alexander Bell and Mary Ann Law were my husband's great grandparents. If anybody can help us to find the origins of Jessie and James Law, I would be very grateful.
