Hi to all members I would like to introduce myself as a new member. My name is Karen Spencer and I live in Alberta. I am new to genealogy. I do have some family lines I am researching in Scotland....in particular Kirkudbright and Dumfries. My surnames are Robson/Dobie/Chron/Fairbeard I have seen the 1881 census for Kirkudbright. I have John Robson who married Janet Dobie in 1849. They had Robert, Agnes, John, William, Jane, George, James, Joseph and Janet. John's father was James Robson born 1799 and his mother was Jane Harris born 1798. Janet Dobie's parents were Thomas (don't know his date of birth) and Sarah Chron (don't know her date of birth) or either's parents. So that is my history and I would appreciate any help or any information that someone else may have....thanks in advance!
