Hi Don and Mary: I understand that you are interested in the MEICKLE family. I am also interested in the origin of that family in Scotland. An Alexander Meickle was imported into East New Jersey in 1684 as an indentured servant of John Campbell. They sailed from Montrose in 1684 on the ship THOMAS AND BENJAMIN and landed at Sandy Hook NJ. I am trying to find the places these passengers of the Thomas and Benjamin originated. There were 130 passengers and most of those I have located came from either the Montrose,Angus or Aberdeen areas. Do you know where the Meickle family lived? I can't find an Alexander Meickle in LDS records. Jessie, Calif.
