I am sorry - I left out a lot of info! John and his family arrived through NY in 1882, probably thru Castle Garden. John Tait settled in Lawrence, Mass. and his brothers and father in NH. John married Margaret Ripley of England, probably about 1884. Their children were: Katherine, George Andrew (my grandfather) Elizabeth and Helen, these last 2 never married.
