My gr'gr'grandparents, James OSTLER (b c1840+/-) and Margaret McINTOSH, supposedly came from the Dundee area of Scotland. They emigrated to the U.S., most likely New York state. Their daughter, Margaret, was born in 1866 (possibly AFTER they reached New York). Margaret married Charles Meritt HARDING c1886, and they settled in Canton, Massachusetts, where they had two sons. Margaret died in 1888 shortly after the birth of her second child, and I've not been able to find out anything more about her/them.
