Hi Pat, Thank you for your note. Unfortunately my connection with AITKENs in Berwick is very small. In fact it was only a brief passing through, so to speak. James Aitken born in Largo Fife 1802, married Ann McKay (whose father was a solder) in 6/7/ 1827 in Lasswade. Their first child (David) was born in 1827 Gladswood, Berwick, but the second (John Gibson) was born in 1829 Edinburgh, Midlothian. So unfortunately I am unable to connect with or help you at present. I think it is time I started ordering in some films to see if I can find anything to fill in the gaps.
