hello, in my quest to research my McLaren relatives, i have come across a james mclaren, born sept. 9, 1779 in callander, perthshire, scotland. he married mary mcnabb 1819 in chatham, ontario, canada. she was 23 and he was 40. i strongly suspect that mary was not his first wife. i dont care so much about the previous wife/ves names, mostly i am trying to find any childrens' names that survived the marriage. does this james fit with anyone else out there? i went to LDS to look at their scottish church records. my james is there, father alexander and mother betty fergusson. there was no way to quickly connect him to the huge list of james mclaren marriages... thanks, heidi ford
