I don't think that anyone in their right mind who has seen the promise of the "new world" would want to return to the slums and deprivation that was Glasgow at the time. It may of course be another branch of the family and time may unearth a link for us. A coincidence that you may find amusing is that my wife's maiden name is Cassidy, from Ireland!
