Hi, Carole, I wonder if you know anything of James Robertson of Drumnahoy, Parish of Cluny, Aberdeenshire, or his son, William, of Monymusk, Parish of Cluny, Aberdeenshire. William was b ca 1735, marr Jane ROSS, d/o Alexander ROSS of Balnagowen. William and Jane had at least three sons, Archibald (my line), Alexander, and Andrew. All three were artistic, and Archibald and Alexander came to America, Archibald in 1791, and I don't know the date that Alexander came. Andrew, who apparently was not in good health, seems not to have come. The two who did come, came to NYC, where Archibald stayed until his death in 1835; Alexander was also in NYC, but I don't know when or where he died. Anything sound familiar here? (I envy you your trip; I am also a member of Clan Donnachaidh. The past two summers I went to Scotland, but I was in the Borders most of the time, looking for my ARMSTRONG connections. Hope to go next year to the Highlands, and tour as much of it as possible. Any help on my Robertsons on the other side of the pond would be great!
