hello everyone, in the RENFREW OLD PARISH CHURCH on HIGH STREETin RENFREW there are stained glass windows "in memory of Peter MacLaren, L.L.D. Rector of Renfrew Grammar School for 46 years. Born at Dunblane on 1804-1876. " does anyone know how i might find out more about this man? and does anyone know what L.L.D. stands for? i ask as i am trying to find a g.g.g.g uncle, who supposedly was a presbyterian minister for 50 years, somewhere in scotland. since most of the family history handed down has turned out to be factually incorrect but did have some basis of truth, this inscription bears investigation. i am hoping this man has a sister named jane, jean, or jen who was my g.g.g.g.grandmother. can anyone help? thanks, heidi ford
