Hello listers. My ancestor Samuel McKnight, with wife Elizabeth Halliday, and six children - Francis (b1801), Samuel (b1803), William (b1804), Elizabeth (b1806), Jean (b1809) and James (b1810) landed on the Miramichi River near Loggieville/Chatham in New Brunswick, Canada on October 3, 1818, having sailed from Annan, Scotland. They remained on the Miramichi. Samuel was born in Annan, Dumfriessshire in 1777 and Elizabeth was born in Scotland (location unknown) in 1761. All children were born in Annan.
