Carrick castle is in Scotland on the shores of loch long I have been there, Mat
Hi all; hope I get thru; Rootsweb seems to reject any e-mail ending in (.cc). anyway, heard from someone some years ago that there is old fallen down castle named Cookney, plus village nearby called Cookney...somewhere maybe on road to Glasgow???? My grandfather, Theodore James Cookney, was born in London in 1879. His baptismal records, plus names of his parents, on file at church there; Anglican. They ended up as Brit Mormons...would appreciate any insight into "Castle Cookney." Thanks!
