Hello, I am looking for anyone who may have relatives with this surname [McGugan/McGougan/McGoogan] in the North Knapdale area of Argyllshire during the mid-1700's and on to the present time. I am looking for information which may be in your family bible, or other documents, which you may have in your possession, concerning families with this surname in that area. Parish information during that time period was destroyed by fire as I have been told and is not in the Scottish Registry. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks John Lester
