Hi - I am looking for information on my great grandfather's parents - his name was William Dingwall born approx. 1838 in Gorbals Lanark and information on his wife's family as well - Her name was Marion MacRae born in Harris, Inverness-shire in 1836. They married February 17, 1863 in Harris Inverness-shire. I have census records that tell where they lived in 1881 and their siblings names including my grandfather William who was born in 1873 and came to Sydney, Nova Scotia Canada and is buried her. I am looking for any help at all tracing my great grandparents and their parents before them - etc. Hopefully someone will be able to help in this regard. It has been very interesting to date searching through all the online data for my Scottish roots and doubt if I will ever lose interest in acquiring more information.
