i think you did a good deed,in fact i was whatching the news recently i think it was 60 minutes ,they were talking about this same subject , but some of the childrens parents only placed the children in orphanages temporarily because of hardships,when they went back to get their children the children were already shipped off to work farms and such . the children would ask when they were going home or when is their parents coming to get them and the children were told the parents had died. the show did have some happy ending some of the parents were reunited with their children recently and there is an ongoing investigation with the hopes of reuniting more or to at least let the truth be known.
