    3. Hi All Does any researcher have access to the 1841 Census information for Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland? I am trying (desperately) to get some information (age, place of birth - at least) on my James DAVIE so that I can do further research. I received information that he is NOT mentioned in the 1851 Census, although his wife, Elizabeth (Halliday) DAVIE, age 68, and his son, Samuel Ewing DAVIE, age 26, are. In 1841 this DAVIE family would look like this: James DAVIE, Silversmith, age? (guessing he would be between 55-65) (no idea of place of birth) Elizabeth (Halliday) DAVIE, 58, wife (no idea where she was born) James DAVIE, 22, son (no idea what his occupation was) born Greenock East Parish Samuel Ewing DAVIE, 16, son (no idea what his occupation was) born Greenock Middle Parish. I would appreciate any information SKS can give me so that I can search further for my GG Grandfather. I have searched everywhere and cannot find any birth or death records for James DAVIE - I have his marriage *certificate* but that doesn't tell me anything except he married Elizabeth Halliday in Greenock Middle, Renfrew on 21.6.1816. Many Thanks Janelle Canberra, Australia aurora@dynamite.com.au Researching: Davie, Halliday, Taylor, Barr, Campbell
