    1. Re: Time best spent in Edinburgh
    2. First of all try the website < www.edinburgh.org >and the Scottish record office Edinburgh, the name Kincaid I believe is associated with Loch Lomond area, also with a village named Clachan of Campsie near Lennoxtown, Stirlingshire where there is a family burial vault of the Kincaids in the village graveyard, I was married in March 1997 in Denny, Stirlingshire and the reception was held at the Kincaid House Hotel, Milton Of Campsie, a former mansion house of the Kincaid family and the same family which has the burial at Clachan of Campsie. There are numerous Tartan shops in Edinburgh, almost as many as "Edinburgh folks who think they are better than Glaswegians, erroneously" Scottish Joke!!! I can recommend Macphersons Highland Kilt shop in Edinburgh for all things tartan and Scottish. Jim McPherson. www.clan-macpherson.org
